Harmony Day is celebrated on 21 March each year and celebrates Australia's success as a diverse society united by a common set of values.
On Saturday 24th March 2007, Hobsons Bay City Council in conjunction with Westgate Migrant Resource Centre organised Harmony Day. The successful event was organised at Cherry Lake, Altona from 11am to 3.30pm. Over 150 people attended the cultural event. Amongst the many groups performing at the event, there was also a free BBQ.
The cultural performances included the Macedonian, Karen Youth, Spanish, Chin, Sudanese, Maltese and the Vietnamese community groups.
