WMRCs
The WMRC is committed to the attainment of fair and equitable outcomes for all members of our community regardless of ethnic, cultural, linguistic, age, gender, and socio-economic status or backgrounds, consistent with international principles of human rights and Commonwealth and State human rights and equal opportunity legislation.
The WMRC is strongly committed to the principle of the equality of all human beings as free and equal in dignity, rights and freedoms. The WMRC is committed to the realisation of social conditions that promote respect for human rights, based on social justice, the inherent equal worth of all human beings as the highest value and on the imperative of working actively to create social conditions that enable all members of our community to exercise their human, cultural and citizenship rights in an atmosphere of understanding, respect for difference and the elimination of all forms of discrimination and exclusion.
Sources of Funding
The main provider of funding for the WMRCs operations is the Hobson's Bay City Council, the Department of Health and Aging and the Department of Human Services and Families. Additional funding is also provided for specific projects by the Victorian Government, and a number of private companies.
